What is CrossFit?

“Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, High Intensity”. Constantly Varied: Life in general, train for the unexpected. Our workouts are designed to keep you, and your body, on your toes. Variety and Creativity, try something new! Functional Movements: Universal motor patterns that mimic your everyday movements. Whether you’re lifting a box, picking up a child, or holding an object overhead…these movements are in our DNA, most importantly these movements are incredibly safe when done properly. High Intensity: How fast and hard do you want to go? With any workout, intensity is the biggest variable. The intensity is something we can control based on your individual fitness level.

World Class Fitness in 100 Words Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. CrossFit Dahlonega was established in January of 2008. CrossFit Dahlonega was one of the original CrossFit gyms in the North Georgia area.  Since 2008, many CrossFit Boxes have been opened from former CFD members. With our in depth knowledge and great experience, we build Strong, Confident Athletes!

We have the experience here at CFD to lead you through your fitness journey. CFD is not your typical globogym. We do not do routines. Our CrossFit classes are lead by a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and are designed to feel like a Personal Training Session, but in a fun group setting! Our WODs, also known as the Workout of the Day, are meant to challenge you, but every workout can be scaled to your individual needs.

CrossFit Dahlonega is now under new Management and everything is up and coming! We are very excited to see CFD grow and expand, and hope that you are will be part of that process!
